• Related to prehistoric giant ground sloths, likely mylodon or megalonyx

• On all fours, just over 5 feet high at the shoulders; when rearing up, nearly 8 feet tall

• Very protective of their young

• Distinctive white fur patterns give appearance of a single eye and large mouth on torso, possibly an intentional display to ward off predators

• Herbivorous, but claws are large enough to be extremely dangerous
